Bodywork is personal. It becomes an intimate relationship between both practitioner and recipient. It's my intent to work closely with you not just on a physical level but one of heart and spirit.
I am committed to providing a safe and sacred space for you to receive the healing you need and offer an integrative and holistic approach & experience so that you feel supported and cared for on many levels. For almost 15 years, I've had the privilege to work with a great many individuals, from infants, those in hospice care and almost everything in between, and to witness and support such profound transformations, both inside and out. I am professionally certified through the Esalen Institute, the State of California, and the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodyworkers, served as member of the massage faculty at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur California, and for many years held a private practice in Provincetown MA. *Currently not offering bodywork sessions in Provincetown. Integrative Therapeutic Bodywork With intuitive guidance & reverence for physical and energetic bodies, sessions are offered utilizing a unique blend of methods and techniques depending on the needs how you arrive in the present moment. Listed below is more insight of the modalities of bodywork I may weave into a session. Esalen Massage The foundation of my Bodywork practice was taught to me at the Esalen Institute in Big Sur, California. I creatively utilize this technique through presence based touch, deep listening, nurturing and long flowing strokes to relax & integrate ones body and being in a holistic manner rather than individual parts. Deep Bodywork With a special interest and passion for Deep Bodywork, this technique is applied with focused precision and slow, thoughtful consideration for the clients sensory capacity. Deep Bodywork has a profound ability to relieve and introduce healing for chronic to acute physical injury. Through this process, I have experienced for myself and many clients its potential to unbind and heal deep emotional traumas that may have been stored in the body. Deep bodywork is most effective through a series of sessions to allow time for the body to integrate and unbind to access deeper layers of healing through physical, emotional and spiritual levels. Thai Massage. With intention, methodical compression, stretching and movement of the body, I incorporate this ancient style of bodywork into a table massage. Having studied Traditional Thai massage in Chiang Mai, Thailand, it is among the most versatile and effective applications of bodywork. Cranial Sacral With emphasis on the subtle body and nervous system, Cranial Sacral is applied using gentle touch and deep listening of the cranium (head), sacral (sacrum) and the spinal column. This technique allows a more direct connection to the nervous system to allow time and space for your bodies own genius to self regulate and regenerate. Lomi Lomi As taught to me through my years in Hawaii by my Kumu (teacher) Harry Uhane Jim, I revere this work deeply in honor of the Hawaiians who graciously share their wisdom. I utilize a few techniques outside of the commonly known forearm strokes to bring insight and a broader awareness of what you've inherited through your ancestry and bloodlines. Here we explore ways to release and heal ancestral traumas to reactivate and reinforce positive energy patterns. When available we will utilize Pa'a (bone washing), HA (breathwork), Laulima (laying on of hands) and Ho'o pono'pono (forgiveness/release). Individual Session 1 hour & 30 minutes Including Consultation, Bodywork & Integration. $250 All sessions begin with a consultation to allow you an opportunity to express your current health and wellbeing circumstances and discuss how we may best work together.
Post consultation is followed by seventy five minutes of hands on treatment, beginning with prayer/invocation, guided breathwork, calming sounds, aromatherapy and a limpia (energetic cleansing ritual). Upon completion, you'll have some time to resurface and process our work together before departing. |
